THE CHEFS The 37th "Chick" Miler was a big success... great golf, great food, lots of fun. Thanks to all who played, worked and volunteered. The live band, the Out-of-towners, was a smash hit at our Summer Kick off Shag Party. Over 300 people danced the night away at the Candlelite Pavilion where they were also entertained by Sam and Lisa West, National Shag Champions. We will be having more shag dances throughout the year. Reminders & Notices
Bray’s Bogeys
I want to thank all players who participated in the 37th Chick Miler Tournament where we saw Bill Smunk capture his sixth title. We had 170 players, about 45 members, and got in all three days this year, with one short weather delay. Also, thanks to the Ladies Golf Association, ranger staff and everyone else who helped make the tournament run so smoothly. Congratulations to Bob and Chris Asbell for winning the Father Son/ Daughter Championship with a blazing 30-under gross. Also, thanks to the other competitors for playing and braving the heat and pop-up storms. I hope everyone had a good time. On July 2, in celebration of the fourth of July, we'll be having "RedWhite-& Blue" Firecracker Blitz. Tee off is at 12:30--teams will be formed in the pro shop. You can sign up all week up until 11:00 a.m. on Friday, July 2nd. Only $10 plus your cart feeguests pay $10 plus $25 golf fee. This should be fun and I will make the teams as fair as possible. And lastly, keep your calendars open for the Men’s Member Guest. The dates are August 21 and 22. The format will be the Match Around format we did last year, which is a very fun format ... so make sure to find a partner and join us for a great weekend.
