THE CHEFS Thank you for all the support you have shown. We are looking foward to our first Variety Show and dinner on Feb 12 at the Pavilion. Johnny Cash & Friends are sure to light up the night and we will be serving a delicious dinner for you and your Valentine. Make sure to buy your tickets early as we expect this event to sell out. We are continuing our Friday lunch specials in February. We will have fried fish sandwiches along with other specials. Thursday night dinners are going well - try to call ahead for seating - to go orders are available also. Thursday night menu: 1/28 Fried sea bass or grilled dolphin dinner 2/04 Spaghetti night, toasted garlic bread, fresh garden salad, dessert 2/11 Mexican buffet 2/18 Barbecue and all the fixings 2/25 Seafood night

Congratulations to Betty Sanders our December Ace of the Month. Big congratulations to Sissue Beauchene the winner of Ace of the year 2009. On December 15 it was decided by the majority of our members that a small amount of money would be collected on Thursdays to give to the winners instead of golf balls. o We will be enforcing the DRESS CODE. Please wear collared shirts ... and tuck in shirt tails! NO cut-off jeans. o Tennis court reservations will be made at Miler Pro Shop. o Members observed riding on carts without checking in the Pro Shop for proper payment will be assessed a cart rental for 18 holes - no exceptions! o A valid driver’s license is required to drive a golf cart. o Observing cart path rules is critical to the maintenance of the course! o Please bring your membership card when you are using the clubs ... this includes children. o Cart fees are charged per rider per 18 holes. Additional holes require additional payment. No cart will be rented for less than $15.00 for 18 holes. o Please call ahead for tee times, which are required seven days a week. o Please sign-in at Pro Shop before playing golf or tennis. Have your membership card available when signing in; if you don’t have one, call the office for replacement cards. o For slow-playing groups, please allow other groups waiting behind you to play through. o Do NOT tee off on #10 first WITHOUT checking in the Pro Shop. Tee times are arranged for groups to start on #1 tee.
February should be an exciting month at the club. First off is the Superbowl Powerball on February 7. This is a four person captain's choice with a twist - open to everyone - oysters, hot dogs, and the sports entertainment follow the tournament. Next up is the Johnny Cash and Friends Variety Show on February 12 at the Pavilion which will be great to celebrate the start of Valentine's Weekend with dinner, dancing and friends. We have a limited number of tickets so stop by the pro shop or snackbar to secure your seat. Lee also has some great Thursday night dinners planned throughout February. Also, the Member Match Play tournament is set to start on March 1, be sure to sign up in advance.

Internet Golf Score Posting Golfnet Handicap Web Page Info To post your score online, go to www.golfnet.com and click on GOLFER LOG IN on left hand side of home page. The "By Association" page pops up, click on SOUTH CAROLINA GOLF ASSOCIATION symbol. When the "Club Selection" screen pops up, leave the club number blank and select MILER COUNTRY CLUB from the club name list. Then hit submit information. On the left hand side of the next page, you will be prompted to enter your golfer handicap number. You should not have a suffix to enter (leave the suffix box blank). Enter the club password: MILERCC (not case sensitive). Once logged on, follow tabs at top of your golfer page to post scores, etc.

HANDICAP INFORMATION
The $25 annual SCGA handicap charge has been billed to your account this month (there is no charge for juniors). This system is a fair indicator of your handicap and is required to play in handicap tournaments at the club and all SCGA sponsored events. Please remember to post your scores as you play. Internet posting is another convenient way to keep your handicap updated. If you do not have a handicap membership number please call Bray Blanton. If you do not wish to maintain a handicap you must notify accounting in writing before Feb 20, 2010, to receive a credit for the handicap charge.
